# Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the FoxSnip desktop app (Windows and macOS) and related services.

## 1. The product

FoxSnip is a local-first screenshot tool. Capture, annotation, plain-text OCR, local export, and recording run on your device. Cloud features (formula, table, and chemical symbol recognition, cloud translation, and link sharing) are provided by our servers.

## 2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FoxSnip on your devices.

- **Trial** — 15-day free trial with all Plus features.
- **Plus** — one-time purchase. After you buy it, you can keep using it. There is no yearly update fee.
- **Pro** — subscription for cloud capabilities. The app stays usable while Pro is active. Buying 3 months of Pro includes a free Plus license.

Commercial use is allowed from the trial.

## 3. What's yours

Your screenshots and recordings are yours. We don't claim ownership of your content.

## 4. Cloud features

Cloud features are subject to monthly quotas and require an internet connection. When you use formula, table, or chemical symbol recognition, cloud translation, or link sharing, the selected content is uploaded to our servers for processing. Do not upload content you don't have the right to share.

## 5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including:

- Uploading unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights
- Attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Reselling or redistributing the software

## 6. Payments, invoices, and refunds

Checkout is processed by an **international merchant of record** (currently Creem; we may also use Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, or Stripe depending on the selling entity). This is not a China-mainland payment entity. The merchant emails an **English invoice / receipt** after payment. We cannot issue a mainland-China fapiao for these checkouts.

Plus is a one-time purchase. Pro is a recurring subscription you can cancel anytime. The 15-day trial does not require a card.

Refunds: Plus may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if the license is not a fit; Pro mistaken charges or unavailable cloud features are refunded if you write within 14 days. The English policy at [/refunds](/snip/refunds) controls. Contact hi@foxpack.com with your order ID.

## 7. Updates

We may release updates to improve the app. Plus has no yearly update fee — the license you buy stays usable. Pro keeps the app usable while your subscription is active.

## 8. Disclaimer

The software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

## 9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software in the twelve months before the claim.

## 10. Termination

You may stop using FoxSnip at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

## 11. Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
