# FoxSnip

FoxSnip (Capture. Annotate. Share.) is a local-first screenshot and screen-recording app for Windows and macOS — also searched as snap, screen snap, or FoxSnap. Capture a region, window, or full screen; annotate, pixelate, or erase; run OCR and QR reading; stitch scrolling captures; pin shots on top; and record polished demos. Core capture and annotate are a one-time purchase — never subscription-locked.

## What it is

FoxSnip is an official screenshot (snap) application by FoxPack. Capture, edit, and share screenshots seamlessly.

- **Scrolling screenshots** — Capture a long web page or an entire chat. Any app, any window — stitched into one tall image.
- **Pixelate or remove** — Hide sensitive bits behind a pixelated curtain, or erase them as if they were never there. Text mode hides text without corrupting anything else.
- **Text recognition (OCR) & QR** — Came by text that won’t select? Select an area — FoxSnip parses it and copies to the clipboard. It also reads QR codes. Plain text is recognized on-device; formulas, tables, and chemical symbols use our server.
- **Markup screenshots** — Add text, freehand drawings, highlights, spotlights, arrows, and more — right after you capture.
- **Pin screenshots** — Pin images as floating always-on-top windows. Handy for references, or as temporary screenshot storage.
- **Clean desktop / pick UI** — Hide desktop icons for a clean shot. Hold Shift to pick components inside a window.
- **Zoom in on your pixels** — Think of FoxSnip as a digital magnifying glass. Pan, zoom, and inspect every pixel.

## First 60 seconds

Screenshot → annotate → copy. If a new user cannot finish this in a minute, the rest of the site does not matter.

1. **Capture** — Press your screenshot shortcut (change it in Settings, or take over the system keys). Drag a region. The annotate toolbar sits under the selection.
2. **Annotate** — Add an arrow or a label. Single-letter tools — you do not have to open the full editor first.
3. **Copy** — Copy (or ⌘ / Ctrl + C). Paste into chat, mail, or a ticket. Nothing is uploaded.
